This daddy just got back from Iraq just in time to see their baby be born. Congratulations Willingham family. I can’t wait to meet him!

Love the sun flare in this!

I had so much fun with the Robinson family. Having no boys myself, I always LOVE when boys act out their typical behavior. This little hunter loved his stick! His little sister LOVED to dress up and was a super star in front of my camera.

Boys will be boys...

Stunning!

Check out how cool these 3 dudes are. I had a lot of fun with these guys. Dad was really in to my vintage props. I think I reminded him of his own childhood. I hope so.

Coca-Cola

My precious baby Tyler is ONE. It is so hard to believe. It brings joy and sadness at the same time. Sadness, is for all of the newborn photos that I will never get again. Sadness is when my clients get better newborn pictures than I have of my own kids. Joy is this…

Happiness...

Grandma's doll crib.

So special that grandma and her sister used to play with this crib as children.

until next week
These are my dear friend and teaching job-share partner’s children. She helps me out a lot in the classroom and I wanted to give a little back with my lens. We went out to have a little fun with the kids in Carlsbad last week when the weather was really warm. I wanted some bare skinned babies! I also brought by daughter. I will post that in a separate post.

Look at these lashes!

Love the legs hanging out of the doll crib

This sweet dad purchased a sitting for his wife for Valentine’s Day. I had such a great time with this family. Thank you for allowing me the honor. These are some of my new favorite photos!

Love this!

Is this the best? I can't stand it!!!

It is 11:19 and it is technically still Easter. I just wanted to share my girls. They are my favorite subjects. They always present a challenge while photographing. Little do they know, I always welcome a challenge. It is extremely difficult to get images of your own children. They seem to just “mess” with me.
My friend Kristy hatched these chicks. We used to teach together and she used to hatch chicks with her students. She is now a photographer as well. These chicks are only a day or so old. The girls had a ball. I thought I would just be able to set Tyler down next to the chicks and click away. Well…. she scooped up those chicks by their heads and was flinging them! I could not believe it. At one point Kristy had to step in on behalf of the chicks! Cory the animal lover was in heaven. Reese was a little unsure as you can see how she is holding the poor little thing! So much fun!
Happy Easter! He is risen!

might be my favorite of the 3 girls yet!

Love the dirty fingernails!!!!
I photographed this little doll baby at a couple of weeks old. Grandma has the most beautiful natural light in the home and I could have set up a studio in her dining room. You can see A LOT of images of this family on my website . This photo shoot almost did not happen because of the projected rain. We braved the cold and it was worth it!!!!!!

in the rain... really.
I love anything retro. During this little man’s birthday party it occurred to me that a photo shoot at the bowling alley would be really fun! So off we went on a Monday! I like to try and make the photo shoots fun for the kids. You get more genuine smiles!

Is he cool or what?

cracks me up!

love this!

waiting patiently...
